Retro...
George Eiferman
November 3, 1925 - February 12, 2002
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Labels: 1948 Mr. America, 1962 Mr. Universe
George Eifermans persona enriched the sport for over 50 years, and at no time along his flexing journey did he lose his sense of humor or love of people. On returning from US Navy duty in World War II, Eiferman quickly began his rise to muscle greatness.
In 1947, he won the Mr. Philadelphia (his hometown) title, and a year later annexed the AAU Mr. America title. He later spent several years traveling the United States speaking to high school assembly groups, espousing fitness as a lifestyle, before being recruited in 1954 by actress Mae West to gather a group of musclemen for her touring nightclub stage show, which was a huge hit in its day.
By that time, Eiferman had established his gym business in Las Vegas, which for nearly three decades, was as hot a spot as the desert sand surrounding it. Fourteen years after his Mr. America win, Eiferman returned to the glare of the bodybuilding spotlight to win the 1962 IFBB Mr. Universe title.
It was his last competition, but if a Mr. Congeniality title existed, Eiferman would have had a lock on it. George passed away in February 2002.

Re: Retro...
O gal kas infro apie tų laikų treniruotes turit?
Nes kiek tenka skaityti, gana stipriai skyrėsi jos.. pvz:
1. Bench Press 8-12 reps
2. Barbell Curls 8-12 reps
3. Breathing Squats 20 reps (1st set), 10 reps (remaining sets)
4. Bent Arm Pullovers 20 reps (superset with each set of breathing squats)
5. Bent Over Rows 8-12 reps
Dar įdomus dalykas visur rašomas dėl Steve Reeves mitybos:
Steve didn't follow any complicated nutrition regimens. His carbohydrate consumption would be frowned upon in today's low-carb fanatic society. However, you can hardly argue with Steve's results. In addition, his protein intake was far from the recommended two grams per pound of body weight espoused in many bodybuilding magazines today.
Another contrast is that Steve generally ate three meals per day. For breakfast, Steve had a power shake consisting of orange juice; Knox gelatin; honey; a banana; some eggs; and a few tablespoons of protein powder. For lunch, Steve had some cottage cheese with a handful of nuts and raisins, and some fresh fruit. Steve's dinner was a big salad and some swordfish, turkey, tuna or beef.
Sunkoka patikėt, kad su 3 gana paprastais valgiais taip užaugo..

Steve Reeves
January 21, 1926 May 1, 2000
Glasgow, Montana, USA
Almost without exception, all references to Steve Reeves append to him the phrases V taper and flawless symmetry. Those attributes took him to victory at the 1947 AAU Mr. America, 1948 Mr. World, and the first NABBA Mr. Universe in 1950.

Re: Retro...
"Legendinės rankos" ->
Larry Scott
Born October 12, 1938
Blackfoot, Idaho, USA
Larry Scott, The Legend, established and personified bodybuildings beach Adonis image, and duly became the sports Golden Boy after winning the IFBB Mr. America title in 1962 and the IFBB Mr. Universe in 1964. He was the first-ever IFBB Mr. Olympia in the contests initial two years of life, 1965 and 1966.
Joe Weiders brainchild of a competition got the perfect first-time winner in Larry. Of all the Hall of Fame inductees, perhaps Scott started with the least raw potential. Told he was too narrow-shouldered a condition then considered insurmountable he persevered and packed on prodigious mounds of delt muscle which, coupled with the greatest arms in bodybuilding, enabled him to present front double-biceps shots that worked up a crowd like no other.
Witnesses still say that the audience reaction to his 1966 IFBB Mr. Olympia entrance was the most vociferous and emotional ever seen at a bodybuilding contest. A devout Mormon, Larry lives in Salt Lake City, where he runs his own bodybuilding advisory company.
